Comments from last year's delegates:
"Local church leadership can be tiring… We need to be able to reflect, with depth, thoughtfulness, and honesty, alongside others grappling with similar challenges. I’m grateful to Hearts and Minds for enabling me to do this."
Trevor Neill
"I really valued the engagement between academic theology and the business of God's people: mission. I came away challenged over both what I think and what I do about it."
Ed Kaneen
How do Baptists do theology? With our intellects? Certainly. But also with the rest of our being. Theology is not simply knowing about God. It is about knowing and being known by God. It involves the whole of our person. And so our new biennial conference for Baptists involved in theology is called
Hearts and Minds. If you are a Baptist or one who journeys with us, then you are invited to join us, offer a presentation, take part in the discussion, or simply be part of the gathering.
There will be an opportunity to hear from guest speakers and to enjoy presentations, in different formats, about the ways other Baptists have been engaging with God. The sessions will be accepting, non-threatening and inclusive, so why not take this opportunity to come and learn something of the many things that God is doing among us?
